*Please be aware of the fact that instant photography involves a chemical process and therefore results of the pictures may vary due to various reasons such as weather conditions, temperature, light conditions, etc. (this is a non-exhaustive list).
But after all - the uniqueness and unexpected outcome is part of the experience and that’s exactly what makes Polaroid pictures special and a one of its kind souvenir.*
Q: How long is a tour? Do I need a ticket for public transportation?
A: The Polaroid Photo Tour Vienna - Classic and the Polaroid Photo Tour Graz - Classic are approximately 150 minutes. About 30 minutes are used for briefings and explanations and approximately 120 minutes is leisurely paced walking. You don't need a ticket for public transportation.
The Polaroid Photo Tour Vienna - Urban, Polaroid Photo Tour Rome - Classic, Polaroid Photo Tour Warsaw - Classic and the Polaroid Photo Tour Warsaw - Urban are approximately 180 minutes. About 30 minutes are used for briefings and explanations and approximately 150 minutes is leisurely paced walking.
For the Polaroid Photo Tour Vienna - Urban you will need a ticket for public transportation, which is not included in the tour price.
Q: In which language is the tour held?
A: The tour is held in English, but your guide is either a German (Vienna), Italian and German (Rome) or Polish (Warsaw) speaker.
Q: What is the cut-off time for the tours? Until when can I book my tour online?
A: You can book your ticket online up until 12 hrs. (Vienna, Warsaw) or 24 hrs. (Rome, Graz) prior the scheduled departure time. If you like to join a tour within 12 hrs. to the departure just drop us a line. We try to make it happen: firstname.lastname@example.org
Q: Are other cameras allowed?
A: Yes, of course! Take as many pictures with whatever camera you like. This is a photo tour, isn't it! :-)
Q: I would like to participate in the photo tour but I don’t want to use a Polaroid camera, is that possible? And can I solely use my own camera?
A: You don't have to rent a Polaroid camera to attend the tour, if you wish to, please book our reduced "No-Camera-Ticket" ticket. With this ticket you can attend the tour but you won't receive a Polaroid camera neither the pack of instant film. If you would like to accompany someone or use your digital camera only, this ticket is perfect for you.
If you want to use your own Polaroid camera and need a film for it, please contact us beforehand and let us know what type of camera you will be using and how many packs of film you would like to purchase.
Q: I want to take more than 8 instant pictures. Is it possible to buy another pack of film during the tour?
A: Sure, our guide is carrying extra film which can be purchased for 20 EUR per pack.
You can also choose to add as many films as you like during the booking process! Just use the "Add-on" option while checking out.
Q: Is the Instant Tour a classic sightseeing tour?
A: Instant Tours are focusing on experiencing the city through the lens of one of our Polaroid cameras and are not classic sightseeing tours. Your guide does not provide oral historical information and context. Apart from that your local guide is happy to answer questions you have about the city, recommend places to eat, give tips on what to see and where to go and much more. But please be aware of the fact that your guide is not a professional tourist guide.
Polaroid Photo Tour Vienna - Classic: We will give you a booklet with information about the route, the city and it's sights. Additionally you can download our partner app for free. It includes information about the sights as well as offline maps.
Q: Can somebody I’m travelling with attend the tour for free if he or she doesn’t want a camera?
A: Every participating person has to book the tour in advance. If you wish to participate in the tour without using one of our Polaroid cameras with a film please book our discounted "No-Camera-Ticket". With this ticket you can participate in the tour but you won’t receive a Polaroid camera neither an instant film. This ticket is i.e. for persons who would like to accompany an attendee or shoot with their digital camera only.
Q: Is there parking available near the tour's meeting point?
A: For the tours in Vienna we strongly recommend to use public transportation. Visit www.wienerlinien.at (Vienna) for directions. You will also receive more detailed information on how to reach your meeting point after your booking.
Q: What happens if the weather is bad such as heavy rain or snow?
A: If weather conditions are really bad and the tour is cancelled for that reason, we will inform you via e-mail and/or telephone beforehand. If we can’t reach you the tour guide will be at the meeting point to discuss further steps. If the tour you booked got cancelled due to bad weather we will reschedule it for you and in case that doesn’t work for you we will give you full refund.
Q: What is the average group size?
A: In order for a tour to take place it just needs one person and the average maximum is about eight people per tour. If you are a bigger group and interested in taking a tour with us? No worries, just drop us a message at email@example.com and we will arrange your personal Instant Tour.
Q: Is the tour wheelchair accessible?
A: The tours in Vienna, Graz, Rome & Warsaw are NOT fully wheelchair accessible. If you would like to attend this tour using a wheelchair, please contact us beforehand. We will adapt the tour towards your needs.
Q: I have to change or cancel a tour. How do I do that?
A: If you have to change or cancel a tour please let us know as soon as possible. Just write an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Within 48 hours prior your booked tours departure, we will refund you with the total amount paid.
Short-term cancellations (less than 48 hours before the tours departure): We will try to reschedule the tour with you. If we aren´t able to do so, a short-term cancellation will result in full payment of the agreed tour price for the scheduled time.
If you want to change the date and/or time of your trip you must contact us as soon as possible in writing at email@example.com. We will try to reschedule your trip with you, although we cannot guarantee that we will always be able to do this, as changes are subject to availability at the time.
