Before the event:
1. Get your ticket
Book with your credit card on the website – To do so, just follow the booking process. At this point you have to decide on a team name in the case you want to attend the event as a team. Team members may accompany you on the photographic mission. They don't need an extra ticket. You share the camera, the pictures and the prices. After the payment you will receive a confirmation and further information on the event. In addition you will be added to the exclusive Safari newsletter. This way we keep you updated on important information on the event and you will receive tips and tricks on how to get better at instant photography. The perfect preparation for a successful attendance.
Corporate Safari: To attend the Safari with your company, buy tickets for your employees, divison or the whole firm write an e-mail to email@example.com
The day of the event:
3. Collect your starter-bag
Event-Location: The event is hold at the Europasaal, Türkenstraße 25, 1090 Vienna
Please collect your starter-bag within the given time frame (see SCHEDULE). The bag contains:
Rental camera alread filled with film (if you have purchased a ticket with a rental camera)
“The Impossible Project” instant film (if you are using your own camera)
Starter-Booklet containing the photographic mission, event rules, support hotline (0043 / 676 773 58 72), short manual on camera and film, the most important photo tips
Stickers to mark your best 4 photos
Additional infomation, vouchers and other goodies
Right after that you'll have the opportunity to get a crash course on how to use the camera and the film by one of our experts. We strongly recommend taking part in this! This is also a good time to ask final questions.
4. Solve the photographic mission
The starter-bag contains your previously secret photographic mission. It is divided into 8 different topics. To win prizes you have to creatively solve the photo mission and submit your four best Polaroids to our expert jury.
5. Return your best photos and the rental camera
Return to the starting point according to your SCHEDULE. Submit your four best photos by marking them with the topic's corresponding number. For example use the sticker with the number 2 if it's your submission for topic number 2, and stick it to the back of your photo. Return the rental cameras as well.
6. Have your Polaroids scanned, take them back home afterwards
Our crew will scan your submitted pictures to send them over to our expert jury. You'll get back the originals right away.
After the event:
7. Jury evaluates the submissions
The expert jury will evaluate all the submissions by awarding points.
The overall winner is the person with the highest combined score of all four pictures. If there's a tie, the jury will decide on a winner.
Category winners are pictures that scored highest in a specific topic. If there's a tie, the person with the overall highest points win. If there's still a tie the jury will decide on a winner.

This is how the grading works:
After the event we'll send your scans to our jury. The award points to each picture according to a scale from 1 to 10. 1 is the lowest score, 10 the highest. How the jury member comes to his or her decision is solely up to the jury member. We don't give the further guidelines!
We have a winner! After the announcement you'll be able to download high-resolution scans of your submitted Polaroids. Furthermore the final, official result will be published on the website. We will inform all winners by e-mail on how to collect their prizes.
The attendees will be assigned to starting groups. The groups will start between 9 AM and 12 PM. You'll receive your starting group after your booking. If you for some reason are unable to make your assigned starting group, let us know. We try to fit you in a different one. Also let us know what earliest time you can make. The " Sophort Safari" is a photographic competition where attendees use original Polaroid cameras to solve a photographic mission.
Film & Cameras
You can only use film that was given to you by us. You cannot use your own film. Only cameras that can use “The Impossible Project” 600, SX-70 or I-Type film are allowed in the competition. You cannot use modified cameras or the Impossible Instant Lab.
Photographic Mission & Photo Evaluation
Your starter-bag contains a previously secret photographic mission that is divided in eight distinctive topics. These topics are subject to the attendees creative, photographic solution. The attendee submits it's best four Polaroids to the jury. This is solely the attendees choice. The jury will award points to the photos.
The overall winner is the person with the highest overall score on all four submitted Polaroids. In the event of a tie the jury decides on the winner.
There is going to be a winner in each photographic category (topic). Category winners are the persons with the highest overall score on a category submission. In the event of a tie the person with the overall highest score on all four pictures wins the category. If there's still a tie the jury will decide on a winner.
Each attendee can only be awarded with exactly one price. If someone would win more than one prize the person can choose one prize from among them. Not chosen prices will pass on to the person that's ranked right after the winner. For example the 1st place will pass on to the 2nd place.
