Best of Sophort Safari 2018

The results are in! You can find the official results and the very best pictures of Vienna’s 4th Sophort Safari in this entry.

We would like to congratulate all attendees for their fantastic work and the effort they dedicated to creating their Polaroid pictures. For some of them their effort resulted in winning one of many great prizes by our event sponsor. We’d also like to thank them for helping us making this analog event happen!

Top 15

Congratulations to this years winner Andrea Hainzinger! The Upper Austrian succeeded with four high rated Polaroids, one of them even winning one of the categories. In the end she bested second place finisher Patrick Detz (a second time attendee) by just 2 points to win the event.

The Safari was held for the fourth time and Andrea is the already fourth female winner. Will we see the first male contestant at the top of the field in 2019 or will the female reign continue?

New Free Polaroid Photography Competition

Every year we are hosting the Sophort Safari, a day long photo competition with Polaroid cameras, in Vienna, Austria. This year we’ll be celebrating the fourth year of the event. We thought: “How can we get even more people to participate?” That’s how we came up with a new way to join:

The Online Safari

For the first time we’ll be organizing this new photo competition as a part of the main competition. And that’s how it works:

  • You need a Polaroid camera that works with Polaroid Originals film
  • You need to register here (it’s completely free)
  • On the day of the Safari you will be receiving an email with instructions and the photo topic.
  • Go out and take a Polaroid on the very day, scan it or take a digital picture of it and post it to Instagram and/or Twitter, using the hashtags of the competition

The Prizes

That’s it! We will then choose a winner from all entries. The winner will receive an instant photography themed goodie bag by us, including:

Taking part in the competition is completely free and you can take part from everywhere in the world.

But, you cannot take part without registering here. You can find all the details and rules here as well.

We hope to see your amazing entries in May and maybe you even come join us in Vienna for the main event.

If you have questions about the competition, let me know in the comments.
